What is the plot of John Wick 2 [Spoliers]
John Wick: Chapter 2 is an action-packed thriller released in 2017, directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad.
The movie stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick, a former hitman who comes out of retirement to seek revenge against the gangsters who stole his car and killed his beloved dog.
In the sequel, John is approached by Santino D’Antonio, a crime boss who reminds him of the “impossible task” that John completed for him and presents him with a “marker,” an unbreakable vow symbolized by a “blood oath” medallion, which demands services from John.
When John refuses, Santino destroys his house with a grenade launcher, and John seeks refuge in the Continental Hotel in New York City.
There, he meets Winston, who reminds him of the underworld’s two unbreakable rules, one of which is that he must fulfill the marker or face dire consequences.
John reluctantly accepts the commitment and is tasked with assassinating Santino’s sister, Gianna, to secure her seat at the “High Table”.

As a result of “conducting business” on Continental grounds, per the High Table’s rules, Winston declares John “excommunicado,” cutting off all his access to the underworld resources.
But Winston also delays activating John’s ex-communication by one hour and provides him with a marker for later use.
He tells Winston to warn every other High Table assassin that he will show no mercy to anyone who tries to kill him. John departs with his dog, and Winston enacts John’s “excommunicado” to be activated in one hour.
